Tick Tock Tick Tock



It seems like just yesterday that I ecstatic as I was going to have 280 hours of consecutive time off from work for the holidays. It is hard to believe that as I sit here there is less than 12 hours of that 280 remaining. Where does time go??

I had a mental list of things I wanted to accomplish during my vacation and I would say about half of them got completed. The other half that did not get completed where put aside by unplanned events such as suprise get together with friends and a pajama day where I did nothing but watch TV and stay in my jammies :-)

Before I know it I will be back at my desk faced with the dreaded tasks at hand and I will be counting down the days until my next vacation.........

Out with the old.....in with the new !!!!

Last night we said good bye to 2010. It started out a what I would have called an ok year and then in June my life changed and my year crashed faster than the stock market. Since then it has had it's occasional ups but last week it crashed again and I am pleased to say I am glad 2010 is over.

One of the highlights of the last week of 2010 was I was able to reconnect with my mother in law and her sister. Unfortunately we had lost touch over the past few years. We had a great dinner together and were able to catch up some of the time we had lost. Hopefully we will stay reconnected through 2011 and beyond.

I am starting this year off with a clean slate and going to make more time for my family and friends as they are what is truly important in life. Without my family and friends I would have not made it through this year.

I also am not going to dwell on the past as if I spend too much time dwelling on the past I well I will miss out on some of the excitement to come.

Here we go !!!

Well I have been debating if I should start blogging or not. One minute I think it is a great idea the next minute I change my mind. I finally decided to go for it and figured at best it would give me a sounding board to let my feelings and thoughts be heard. As most of you are probably aware- I have endured a lot in 2010. As Mark Chestnut would say - in 2010 I was going through the big D and I don't mean Dallas. Well hopefully if all goes well by time 2011 rolls in I will officially be divorced. In 2011 I hope to start a new and move on to bigger and better things. This will also bring with it waves of emotions and thoughts. What better place to express them than by blogging.

Let me start by telling you where I cam up with the title for my blog. Live, Laugh, Love is the motto I go by in life. I feel you need to live life to the fullest, laugh every day, and love life and everyone around you. This especially hit home a few years ago after my father passed. I was always the conservative type who was skeptical at tasking risks and looked at everything with a fine tooth comb before reacting or committing. Then I realized you need to live life- take risks- and enjoy every day while you can as you never know what tomorrow holds. The saying Live, Laugh, Love is everywhere in my life- my house, my office, on my computer, and even tattooed on my body. For all of you in shock- yes I have a tattoo, I got it 2 years ago and I love it !!!

So I encourage all of you to follow my motto and Live ~ Laugh ~ Love ........and follow my blog !!
